Meet the author

I'm an Australian-born cookbook author, and I write about food, travel and culture. I've lived in Barcelona since 2003. These days I'm based in the Penedès wine country, just outside the city.

I'm a mother and grandmother in a trilingual family. We speak English and Spanish at home – and I manage “una mica” of Catalan.

From Sydney to Barcelona

In 2003 I packed up the family and swapped Sydney for Barcelona. My Barcelona Kitchen tells that story, through the local recipes that turned a new country into home.

Today I write cookbooks for real kitchens – and, since 2026, picture books for young readers too.

Why “Casera”?

Casera means “homemade” in Spanish.

Real food, for real kitchens – that's what every book I publish is about.
