We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain’s data protection law (LOPDGDD).

What we collect and why

We only collect the data we need for each purpose below.

Newsletter: your email address. Legal basis: your consent, confirmed by the confirmation email.

Shop orders: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone (if given) and order details. Legal basis: to fulfil our contract with you.

Invoices and accounting: order and payment records. Legal basis: our legal obligations under Spanish tax law.

Contact form and emails: your name, email and message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you.

Website use: technical data such as IP address, browser and pages visited. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website; analytics only with your consent.

We never see or store your full card details. Payments are handled securely by our payment providers.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run the shop:

Squarespace: hosts our website, shop and contact form. Google: stores our newsletter mailing list.
Printful: prints and ships our aprons, tote bags and tea towels, so it receives your name and delivery address for those orders.
Payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal): process your payment securely.
Delivery companies: deliver your order.
Our accountant or tax adviser: for invoices and tax returns.

Some of these companies are based outside the EU, for example in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Amazon links: some book links take you to Amazon. Purchases there are covered by Amazon’s own privacy policy. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, but Amazon does not share your personal details with us.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping items in your basket. Analytics and other optional cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time in your browser settings.

How long we keep your data

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Orders and invoices: for as long as Spanish tax law requires, generally 6 years.
Messages: for as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw your consent, for example to the newsletter.

To use any of these rights, email us at info@caserapublications.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) at aepd.es.
