OUR STORY
Real cookbooks, written for real kitchens
Hi, I'm Sophie, an Australian cook, travel writer and cookbook author. Just over two decades ago I packed up the family and swapped Sydney for Barcelona.
My Barcelona Kitchen is my homage to that life-changing move, from one sunny culture to another. It's told through a newcomer's eyes, with the local recipes I gathered on my travels around Spain – the very dishes that turned a new country into home.
Casera means “homemade” in Spanish, and it's the name I gave my small independent publishing house, now based in the Penedès wine country near Barcelona. It's also the home of Suddenly Cooking, now in its second edition with air fryer times and vegetarian and vegan recipes.
